Become a COSSA Member!

Central Oregon Shooting Sports Association (COSSA) is open to any person 18 years or older who may legally possess firearms. New members are required to attend a safety and range orientation class and pass a safety quiz before receiving their gate access code to enter COSSA Park and use the range facilities.

Membership requires compliance with COSSA’s Safety Manual and the Member's Guide to Range Use. Infractions of rules and regulations can lead to expulsion. Purchase of a membership indicates an agreement to these terms.

Individual Membership $145; Family Membership $185.00 (includes member, spouse/significant other and children under 17). Volunteer hours can be earned at the monthly work parties or by undertaking an identified project with specified time values. Hours will be applied at the rate of $10/hr. toward membership fees up to the limit of the actual fee. COSSA depends on the volunteer effort of our members. Please volunteer!

Steps to membership:


  1. E-mail your application to, once it's processed you will receive an invoice via e-mail.                                                                                                              OR                                                                                                                    Mail a check with your application to COSSA, PO Box 1606 Bend OR  97709 

  2. Check the calendar for orientation dates.  As long as you are pending orientation, you will always get an e-mail the week of orientation with the gate code to enter COSSA.

  3. Review the Safety Manual & Range Rules


Orientation is required before your membership will be activated.  Member numbers will be given out after successful completion of the orientation class and you will have immediate access to the range.

The orientation will last about 2 hours and include the following: Overview of COSSA & COSSA Park, safety & range etiquette, range tour and review of the safety quiz. You will be outside for the range tour so dress accordingly and bring ear and eye protection.
