The meetings for COSSA, both the Board and General meetings, have been held monthly. The Constitution & By Laws state that at least one meeting must be held each year for elections. The Policy Manual states that a general meeting will be held each month on the second Thursday of the month. This can be changed by a majority vote of the Executive committee, so COSSA’s Policy manual will be amended as needed to reflect these changes.
It has been noted that attendance at the General meeting has been getting very low and mostly attended by the same members. The General meeting is being held to keep the members informed of what is happening at COSSA Park. The Board meeting are held to make sure COSSA is being run properly. It has been noted that both meetings are becoming very short. Therefore, the Executive Board has reviewed the policy of monthly meetings and unanimously decided that monthly meetings are no longer necessary. If necessary, anytime a problem arises, contact of the Executive Board will be made to determine if an Executive Board meeting is necessary. If an Executive Board meeting is held, a member has been appointed to act as a liaison between the Executive Board and the full Board, and they will attend the Executive board meeting.
The Executive Board set the February meeting as our election meeting and then the meetings will be held quarterly. The General meeting will still be held quarterly on the second Thursday of the month as before and the quarterly Board meetings will be held on the Monday before. It was also decided that both meetings would start at 6 PM. The first of our quarterly meetings will be held on August 6th and the Board meeting will be held on August 3rd.
The Newsletter will still be put out monthly to keep the members aware of what is going on with COSSA. E-mail blasts will be sent to all members when needed to share or reinforce important information.

ARTICLE XI-MEETINGS
Section 1: The. Board of Directors shall determine the schedule for meeting of the General membership. At least one annual meeting of the General membership shall be held for election of officers.
Section 3: The Board of Directors shall meet monthly unless the Board agrees to cancel a meeting.
ARTICLE VI-BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Section 1: The governing body of the Association shall be a Board of Directors, consisting of the elected Officers of the Association (Executive Board) and a Discipline Liaison Director representing the various shooting disciplines within COSSA.
