USPSA - This is a pistol discipline that focuses on the balance of speed and accuracy. Through creative stage design, shooters are encouraged to find the quickest and most accurate way to engage multiple targets. Various props such as rooms, vehicles, fences, barricades, barrels, etc. are utilized to present interesting challenges.

Mixed Steel - Pure, fast shooting. Targets are steel plates, poppers, plate racks and other steel target configurations. This is excellent training in gun handling skills, accuracy and speed. Our Mixed Steel events usually involve both pistol and shotgun stages. Mixed Steel is scored under USPSA rules.
Fees may vary for special events, but in general we charge:
- Match Fee - $20
- Setup Crew - $ 15. If you arrive 1.5 hours before event start time to help setup, your fee is reduced by $5.
- Observers - Free. Anyone is welcome to observe and ask questions.
- Juniors (12 & up) are always welcome (see new shooter page for more info). Juniors (17 and under) shoot for free.
- Range Officers helping run stages shoot free.
The CPS USPSA events and practices at COSSA generally use bays #2 through #6 at our facility. Our primary bays have weather shelters with wood stoves for shade in the summer and protection from the elements in the winter. During the winter months, the stoves are a most welcome addition. We have two shoot houses, in bay #4 and bay #6, which are used to provide a bit of realism to many of our self-defense type field courses.
